Vishwas Ramnath Satarkar took oath as State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) and Sanjay Narayan Dhavalikar as State Information Commissioner (SIC) at a simple ceremony held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula on Tuesday.
Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari administered the oath of office to State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioner in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
SCIC and SIC will hold office for a period of three years.
Sudhir Kerkar, Director of Information and Publicity read out the order of appointment of SCIC and SIC.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Narendra Savaikar, Commissioner for NRI Affairs; Chief Secretary; Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary Information and Publicity, Mihir Vardhan, Secretary to Governor and others.
Allwyn Pereira, Information Officer, Department of Information and Publicity compered the function. Thereafter, SCIC and SIC assumed charge of the office at Goa State Information Commission, Patto, Panaji.
