Governor of Goa, Bhagat Singh Koshyari has extended his greetings to people of Goa on the occasion of Id-e-Milad. In his message, the Governor has said, “On the auspicious occasion of Id-e-Milad (birthday of Prophet Mohammad), I convey my hearty greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa, especially to Muslim sisters and brothers.”
The Governor adds “Prophet Mohammad was an apostle of love and peace. He preached many great values and teachings, such as respect for women, love and care for the elderly and children, mutual understanding, compassion, justice and brotherhood. The values and ideals propagated by the Holy Prophet Mohammad are eternal and have tremendous significance for all of us.”
“On this occasion of Id-e-Milad, let us rededicate ourselves to the eternal values preached by the Holy Prophet in order to lead a life of harmony, peace, happiness and prosperity,” the Governor concludes, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
