Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai attended Devarshi Narad Patrakar Sanman 2025 organized by Vishwa Sanvad Kendra, Mumbai at Old Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
Pramod Bapat and Vitthalrao Kamble amongst others graced the occasion. The ceremony began by offering flowers to the potrait of Devarshi Narad. The Governor presented Devarshi Narad Patrakar Sanman to Sadguru Patil (Print Media) and Pramod Acharya ( Electronic). The Governor Pillai said that journalism is all about building credibility, accountability, and nationhood. Citing the importance of rich tradition of our country the Governor said embracing tradition while striving for excellence is a great way to move forward. The concept of becoming a 'Vishwaguru' (a global leader) is inspiring, added the Governor. Dr Nishith K Bhandarkar, Convenor, Devarshi Narad Patrakar Sanman introduced Narad Puraskar Award winners Pramod Acharya and Sadguru Patil and also spoke about the activities of Vishwa Sanvad Kendra. Pramod Acharya and Sadguru Patil also spoke on the occasion. Shekhar Phondekar proposed vote of thanks.
