KR collects Rs 2.69 cr record fines in April

Ticketless travel has helped the Konkan Railway Corporation to earn revenue amounting to a whopping Rs 2.69 crore by way of fines in the month of April.

KRC senior officer, Baban Ghatge said, “In the month of April 2024, a total of 15,129 unauthorised/ irregular travellers were detected without tickets and were penalised and that a total amount of Rs 2,69,85,256 was recovered from fines.This is the highest ever fine collected.”

PANAJI: Kakoda Boys will clash with Yes Boys in the final of the South Goa floodlight volleyball tournament, organised by United Boys of Ambaulim, at the volleyball ground, at Ambaulim, Quepem.   In the first semi-final, Yes Boys defeated Saraswati Boys Priol by 21-15, 21-19 margin.
