Margao MLA Digambar Kamat celebrated Vanmahostav in the constituency by planting saplings at several places on Saturday. Accompanied by Margao Municipal Chairperson Damu Shirodkar and ruling party councillors, Margao BJP President Rupesh Mahatme and party workers, the Margao MLA went about planting saplings, beginning at the Margao fire station. After planting a sapling at the fire station in the presence of Divisional Fire Officer Rajan Haldankar and Fire Officer Gill D’Sa, the MLA told the media that he has been planting saplings at the Margao fire station over the years, adding that some of the saplings have grown into trees.
