Mayem-Vaiginim VP gets new deputy sarpanch

Krishna Parab has been elected unopposed as deputy sarpanch of Mayem-Vaiginim Panchayat.

In the 11 member panchayat, the post had fallen vacant after the resignation of Vishwas Chodankar as deputy sarpanch.

The election to the post was held on Tuesday, and as there was only one candidate, the officers announced Krishna Parab elected unopposed as the new deputy sarpanch of Mayem-Vaiginim.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, MLA Pravin Zantye congratulated Krishna Parab and assured full support for the all-round development of Mayem village.
