Sanjeevan Sangeet Academy presented a classical singing programme Mehfil-a-riyaz recently wherein the students of the academy performed Indian classical music. The programme was aimed at promoting classical music among the students and allowing them a chance to perform and experience the joy of singing.
Many of the students performed and among these were Urvi Aunskar who presented Raag Hansdhwani and Dhruvi Chari who sang Raag Yaman. Mitali Chawan mesmerized the audience with Raag Bilaskhani Todi, Aarti Gawde with Raag Gorakh Kalyan and Pallavi Patil with Raag Saraswati. The music teacher and singer of the academy Dr Pravin Gaonkar presented Raag Rageshri. Dattaraj Shetye and Dayesh Kosambe accompanied the singers with Tabla and Gopal Prabhu and Subhash Phatarpekar played Samvadini.
