One held with drugs worth Rs 22.15 lakh

The Crime Branch on Friday arrested a Kullu native Yugal Kishor for allegedly possessing drugs valued at Rs 22.15 lakh. 

According to the case details, the accused was caught red-handed while in possession of 2.198 kg Charas (239 pieces of brownish sticky substance) and Rs 17,500 cash, during a raid at Arambol. The accused had trafficked the contraband from Himachal Pradesh to sell in Goa.

SP Rahul Gupta informed that this marks the fourth case by the Crime Branch in January 2025, with a total seizure of Rs 25 lakh worth of drugs.

It’s ironic that our Union Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, is announcing the launch of an AI model when the basic infrastructure for responding to emails is still lacking.
