Well-known rally driving enthusiast and businessman Saiprasad Satardekar (39) of Vasco passed away late Friday night of a massive heart attack.Saiprasad, fondly known as Sai, was the younger brother of EDC Vice Chairperson and Mormugao BJP Mandal President Sanjay Satardekar and owner of the well-known Janta Garage at Desterro. He was also a part of various youth and sports groups.According to sources, Saiprasad suffered a massive heart attack at home and was rushed to the hospital, where he breathed his last.The demise of Satardekar shocked people in the port town and social media was flooded with condolence messages to his family and many grieved the loss of a young motorsports enthusiast.Saiprasad had participated in many car racing and offroading events like Dirt Race and The Great Escape.
The final rites were performed at the Hindu Crematorium in Bogda on Saturday. Among the many people from different walks of life who visited the bereaved family and offered condolences included Urban Development Minister Milind Naik, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, former minister Rajendra Arlekar, NCP State President Jose Philip D'Souza, MMC Chairperson Damodar Kaskar and councillors.
