The Panaji police on Monday arrested a 28-year-old local for allegedly assaulting a tourist and damaging the computer system at the police station. The incident occurred in the capital city when a tourist who was riding his vehicle on a one-way road was intercepted by Roshni Kavas, a resident of Verem. Kavas allegedly assaulted the tourist after which the police were called in. During the registration of the complaint, the woman allegedly damaged the computer belonging to the police station. She was later arrested for the offence. More details were awaited till going to the press.
