The Old Goa police on Monday rounded up at least 100 persons and detained around 10 in connection with an attempted theft at an ATM, located near a car showroom along the St Cruz-Bambolim road. According to police, CCTV cameras in the ATM centre were not in working condition as a result of which they have been unable to identify the accused. As per the details available, unknown thieves entered the unmanned ATM centre late on Sunday night and made a failed attempt to break the machine. A senior official of the concerned bank lodged a police complaint on Monday after which the police rounded up around 100 persons and detained 10 under preventive arrest. They were released later even though police haven't cracked the case.
