A well known actor and singer Padmanabh Raghunath Hede died at 86 after a brief illness. The Margao born Padmanabh, popularly known as Pama, had retired from the Central Bank and settled in Panaji after his retirement. Better known for his active participation in the Jambaulim Shigmotsava, late Hede had acted in many plays and also sang bhajans at the festival. He also played dhol with Belagavi's popular brand Basavanna Brass Band during the Shigmotsav. Margao MLA Digambar Kamat has offered his condolences, saying that Padmanabh Hede, as an actor and singer, was very popular and that Goa has lost one of her famous sons.
