All 11 MLAs united, asserts Congress

PANAJI
With only five MLAs present when the GPCC President Amit Patkar led the delegation to the Governor to discuss on various important issues, Congress claimed that all 11 MLAs are united even though six of them could not make it. When questioned by reporters over the absence of the six MLAs, Patkar said the real issue that needs to be highlighted is of rising unemployment in Goa. “The issue is not about how many MLAs have come but it is about the high unemployment rate in Goa,” he said. Quepem MLA Altone D'Costa tried to explain that the MLAs are probably busy with the panchayat elections. Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar said it was because of the opposition MLAs that the ruling government was cornered in the Assembly. When pointed out the other opposition parties are blaming Congress for the government getting scot-free, Amonkar said Congress had acted as the principal opposition and will continue to do so. To a question whether all the Congress MLAs are united, there was a chorus from the MLAs that all are united.
