Calangute Police on Wednesday arrested four persons involved in theft cases in Baga parking area and by the beachside.In another case a stolen car was recovered from Maharashtra.
Police informed that a gang of four members who are native of Gadag, Karnataka but residing in Calangute were involved in theft cases.
They apprehended the accused identified as Suresh Rathod, Vithal Rathod, Tarun Rathod and Vikram Rathod.
Police also recovered stolen iPhones from the accused.
An offence under section 379 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused.
In another incident, police recovered a stolen car which was stolen from Naik-waddo, Calangute on August 5.
According to police, the car which was parked in an open space was stolen by the accused.
Police traced the accused at Rahuri in Maharashtra and brought him to Goa. Police are investigating further.
