Alumni of BITS Pilani University, Prashanth Palakurthi, founder of the US-based Reflexis system, and Anuradha Palakurthi, founder of Juju Productions recently visited BITS Pilani Goa campus. The duo donated one million USD for setting-up a centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (APPCAIR) for promoting research in the area of Artificial Intelligence and the centre was set up at Goa campus and inaugurated in February 2020. Palakurthis were welcomed by Prof Suman Kundu, director - Goa Campus, Prof Arya Kumar, dean (University wide) - Alumni Relations and others. They visited the APPCAIR lab and were briefed about the achievements of the centre and its future objectives by Prof Ashwin Srinivasan, head APPCAIR Centre.
