PANAJI: The Social Welfare Department has invited application from the persons above 60 years of age who have worked for uplifting the persons from the backward class, scheduled caste and tribes in Goa for minimum of 25 years.
The applicants who will be selected would receive ‘Dr Ambedkar Social Work Puraskar’ on April 14, the birth day of Dr Ambedkar, along with Rs 25,000, shawl, Shrifal and certificate.
The interested applicants can contact the directorate of Social Welfare opposite Pharmacia Salcete, 18 June Road in Panaji for applications in the prescribed format. The last day to submit the forms is March 31.
