The famous Bodgeshwar Zatra in Mapusa will take place on January 27, but temple officials are working out ways to conduct the festival amid the Covid pandemic.Since the festival is usually attended by lakhs of people from Goa and neighbouring states, the temple committee is in talks with government authorities and Mahajans on ways to conduct the festival in a safe manner.
"We are yet to decide how the celebrations will take place and whether it will be in a full-fledged manner or to have limited and restricted celebrations on account of the Covid pandemic,” said the temple committee president Anand Bhaidkar. “The committee will draw up a plan shortly and will discuss it with the deputy collector, Mamlatdar and police," Bhaidkar added.
