Chief Electoral Officer Kunal, IAS, launched a voter awareness song prepared by the South Collectorate in the presence of Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Narayan Sawant, IAS; Collector North, Ajit Roy, IAS and Collector South Ruchita Katiyal in the city on Thursday. The song will be launched in video format shortly.The Election Commission has been endeavouring to improve the fidelity of electoral rolls with focused efforts for maximization of registration of eligible electors and removing the impurities in the rolls drive. As a part of Special Summary Revision Awareness amongst the people, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer including both District Election Officers and its team has been conducting various activities to enlighten the citizen about the importance of enrolment in electoral roll and to participate in the election process. The song on voters awareness is written, composed and sung by Pravin Gawas, AERO Salcete with an appeal by Ruchika Katyal, IAS Collector and DEO South Goa and Sanjit Rodrigues IAS, Additional Collector. Music arrangement has been done by Daulat Palyekar and studio courtesy was provided by Dte. Art and Culture, Panaji, Goa. Aisha Vaingankar, Joint CEO; Sangeeta Naik, Deputy CEO, were also present on the occasion.
