PANAJIAn estimated 66 million lives were saved through TB diagnosis and treatment between 2000 and 2020. Goa is making efforts to achieve the goal to eradicate TB by 2025. A special event was organised by CHC Bicholim in association with IMA Bicholim to spread awareness about tuberculosis on the occasion of ‘World Tuberculosis Day. Health office Dr Medha Salkar pledged to fight against TB. Medical officer Dr Tulsi Naik briefed on how to control the disease and stressed on the need to take full treatment to get out of the disease completely. In another event patients who had completed treatment successfully were felicitated with protein powder tins as an incentive at Mardolkar Hospital by Dr Vithal Mardolkar and Dr Shekhar Salkar.
