PANAJIThe NSS unit and Department of Extension Services of the College in association with Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim and in collaboration with Caring Souls, Marcela, organised a Blood Donation Camp on March 22. The camp began at 10 am with a short inaugural function wherein Vidya Balekai, NSS PO, welcomed all the staff of GMC, members of the NGO Caring Souls, NSS Programme officers, volunteers and donors present. Dr Asha Gahloth, Vice-Principal (Academics) of the college; Dr Sanjay Korgaonkar, Medical Officer, GMC; Mithila Bhat, Chief NSS Programme Officer; Manisha Phadte, Chairperson Department of Extension Services were present. 61 people came forward to donate blood during the camp which included teaching and non-teaching staff, students and locals; of which 52 were found eligible for donation. This was the camp conducted by the NSS unit for the academic year 2021-2022.
