The four accused in the attack on Aldona Sarpanch Pranesh Naik have been released on bail. The Mapusa Additional District and Fast Track Court granted bail to the four accused on a bond of Rs 50,000 with a surety of an identical amount. The incident had taken place on 18 November 2021 and Mapusa Police had filed a complaint against main accused, Vijay Karbotkar, and seven others. Four persons, Somesh Mansing, Javed Ballari, Chandrashekhar Bhomkar and Rakesh Sutar, had been arrested in this connection, while police are on the lookout for Karbotkar.
