Digging of the main Margao city road, which was hot mixed less than a week ago came under the scanner of citizens on Friday. The road digging has thrown up questions as to who is to be blamed behind the episode.
Incidentally, the builder has pushed the blame on the PWD, National Highways for the delay in issuing the permission to lay the sewerage line despite seeking permission before the hot mixing work.
After the sewerage line was laid, the builder restored the road as per the conditions by evening. Incidentally, PWD officials have now reassured citizens that the road digging work would not leave the road damaged as the road between Hospicio and Old Collectorate would get the final hot mixing coat in the next few days.
