After its successful launch in 2021, the Children’s choir will stage another performance at the St Xavier’s College campus on Friday at 6 pm. Another performance will be staged at the Sé Catedral, Old Goa, on May 9 at 6 pm. Musician and performer Raj Fernandes D’Pietro has trained children from in and around Mapusa, by leading them into voice training, and the outcome is the choir of 66 students. The singers, who range between 5 years and college students, will sing praises to God with a repertoire of hymns of five different languages and will showcase the talent for the greater glory of God. The musicians who will accompany the singers include Velerio Mascarenhas, Janice Parras, Gary Coutinho, Stalin D’Sa, Alex D’Souza, Maryjane De Souza and Gail Coutinho under the leadership of Raj Fernandes D’Pietro.
