CM to lay foundation stone for Krishi Ghar at Chaudi on Friday

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will lay the foundation stone for a Krishi Ghar at Chaudi on Friday at 10.30 am.

Dy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar and Dy Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Isidore Fernandes will be present in the occasion.

The Krishi Ghar, which will also house the Canacona Zonal Agriculture Office, is being constructed at Sheller-Chaudi, opposite the Canacona Community Health Centre, to facilitate sale and storage of locally grown vegetables.

CMC Chairperson Nitu Desai and Ward Councillor Chaya Komarpant will also be present at the event.

PANAJI United Club of Utorda in association with Dr Varun Carvalho organised a massive beach cleaning drive at Utorda beach and adjoining areas on October 25. The event was supported and sponsored by Planet Hollywood resort Utorda. The president of UC Utorda Anthony L C Fernandes welcomed. The chief guest Ajit Roy flagged off the drive.
