A Continuing Medical Education (CME) progamme on mucormycosis will be held in the Pathology Department seminar Hall on January 25 at 3 pm.
The speakers are Dr R G Wiseman Pinto Chairman, Dr Danika Fernandes Department of Anesthesiology, Dr Joel Noronha Department of ENT, Dr Anna Fernandes Department of Microbiology and Dr Joyce Mendes Department of Pathology.
The CME will be chaired by Dr R G Wiseman Pinto Professor and Head of Pathology Department, ex-Dean Goa Medical College, ex-Dean Goa University and President Asian Society of Cytopathology.
Mucor or Mucormycosis called as a black fungus an opportunistic infection affected many patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CME will discuss the various aspects of mucor, the clinical aspects, the diagnosis, management, epidemiology, predisposing factors and prognosis.
The CME is as per National Medical Commission (NMC), Goa University, NEP (National Education Policy) and National Board of Examination guidelines. The CME is open to doctors.
