The Colva police have arrested a 21-year-old youth, a native of North East Delhi, and recovered from his possession 70 grams of greenish colour and grass-like substance, suspected to be ganja.The value of the substance is pegged at around Rs 7000 in the market.
In this connection, the police have registered an offence under the NDPS act 1985 upon the state complaint of PSI Rahul Naik.On Wednesday noon,near the Colva beach parking lot, the accused person Shankar Mahor, was caught red-handed while he was in possession of the drug.The accused person has been arrested and lodged at the Margao police station lockup.Further investigation is in progress with PSI Ajit Velip.
