MARGAO
The last time Revenue Minister Jennifer Monserrate had visited the South Goa District Collectorate building, she had promised to fix the sanitation and maintenance issues plaguing the imposing building.
Jennifer was in the Collectorate building on Wednesday for a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar and Collector Ajit Roy and she told the media that she has done her job of preparing the file for the maintenance and that it is now left for the PWD to fix the problem.
When the media reminded her of her promises made last year to address the issue of sanitation, the Revenue Minister was prompt in saying that the file has been ready form her side and now it is for the PWD to get the problem resolved. “I know the media is referring to the state of
toilets in the building. From my side, the file is ready. The work is now with the PWD, which is maintaining the district Collectorate building,” she added.
Saying that she has prepared the file to spruce up the toilets in the building, Jennifer said the file is now with the PWD, waiting for the amount to be sanctioned.
