Two persons sustained injuries while they were at work on a transformer at Dhargal-Pernem. A leakage in the power supply is believed to have led to the incident.According to reports, maintenance work was in progress on a transformer at Dhargal and two persons were atop the transformer undertaking the repair work.
Some time later, the two persons came into contact with electricity and while one person fell to the ground, the other was dangling dangerously upside down atop the transformer. Locals said both persons came in contact with the electricity while at work on the transformer. Both injured persons were shifted to GMC hospital for treatment. Electricity officials informed that power supply has to be shut down as mandatory procedures while undertaking any work on the electrical equipment and suspected there could have been some power leakage leading to the incident.
