The Directorate of Social Welfare distributed orders of financial assistance to 5 beneficiaries under the 'Kanya Dhan for SC students; 5 beneficiaries under 'Atal Asra yojana for SC/OBC', and Unique Disability ID(UDID) to 5 eligible beneficiaries virtually on the occasion of Goa Statehood Day.Director of Directorate of Social Welfare, Umeshchandra Joshi, OSD in Social Welfare, Taha Haaziq; Assistant Director of Directorate of Social Welfare Devu Gaonkar and other officials of Directorate of Social Welfare besides the selected beneficiaries were virtually present for the function. Assistant Director Devu Gaonkar and official Gauresh Nagvekar gave the brief description of the schemes to the participants. Assistant Director informed that the process of manually distributing financial aid under the schemes was hindered due to the pandemic as informed by the Information and Publicity Department.
