The Carmelite Monastery at Aquem - Alto, Margao has been reaching out to the Catholic faithful in and around Margao for years. Priests are available for confessions round the clock and many come to pray in the public oratory. Even during the pandemic and otherwise, the Carmelite Fathers and their teams have reached out to the suffering humanity, constantly distributing ration and other assistance to those in need.
With the pandemic improving, religious services have resumed following all the curfew restrictions and strict Covid SOPs.
From September 3, 2021, every First Friday, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for silent adoration throughout the day after the 6.15 am English Mass. The faithful are welcome to step into the church and spend time before Lord Jesus anytime during the day. There will be a guided prayer service from 5.30 pm till the beginning of the Konkani Mass at 6.00 pm, states a press release.
