"Fr Myron J Barreto is a young Konkani writer. He has recently been selected for 'Yuva Srujon Puroskar' by the Department of Art and Culture, government of Goa. He has written several quality books in Konkani Roman script. It is indeed a necessity that his writings are now published in Devnagri script," stressed Vincy Quadros, President of Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA). DKA had organised a critical symposium on 'Tallo' a book authored by Fr Myron at the Conference Hall of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim on November 22. While evaluating the book, Vishal Khandeparkar, a Konkani teacher, said that the author needs to revisit the cover of the book if he wishes to transliterate it in Devnagri script. Fausto V D'Costa, editor of Gulab monthly, while assessing the literary richness, gave valuable suggestions.
