The Department of History and Department of Library of Shree Mallikarjun & Chetan Manju Dessai College organised an event to mark Goa Revolution Day.
Principal Dr Manoj S Kamat offered floral tributes to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia who gave a clarion call to the civil disobedient movement in Goa.
Associate Professor Domitel D’Souza, Head of History highlighted the significance of the day. Ketan Naik Gaonkar, Librarian Grade I expressed his gratitude towards the freedom fighters of Goa.
A book exhibition was launched by Principal Dr Manoj S Kamat by lighting the lamp in the presence of Vice-Principal Dr F M Nadaf, teaching, non-teaching and library staff. Gaurish Desai Library Clerk proposed a Vote of Thanks. The event was compered by Domitel D’Souza. Multi-Tasking Staff Anup Sawant and Ankita Naik Gaonkar assisted in organising the event.
The Department of History also arranged a webinar on the theme “The 18th June Movement”. The guest speaker was Aditya Watve, Assistant professor at Dhempe College, Miramar.
