Goa trains to halt at Uruli for Shri Prayagdham pilgrims

The Vasco-Hazrat Nizamuddin Daily Festival Special train will be provided with a one-minute temporary stop at Uruli to facilitate movement of pilgrims attending annual festival during Makar Sankranti at Shri Prayagdham. According to the SWR, Train 02779 Vasco-Hazrat Nizamuddin Daily Festival Express Special commencing journey from Vasco from January 12 to January 23 will arrive/depart Uruli at 4.50 am/4.51 am. Train 02780 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vasco Daily Festival Express Special commencing journey from Hazrat Nizamuddin from January 12 to January 23 will arrive/depart Uruli at 4.05 pm /4.06 pm.

Test firing by Naval Coastal Battery Mormugao on Jan 15

VASCOThe Naval Coastal Battery at Mormugao will carry out test firing of 105 mm Light Field Gun and 40/60 AA guns from Mormugao, Headland Sada, Goa between 9 am and 1 pm on January 15.According to a press release, the danger zone lies within an area bounded by 220 to 260 degrees from Mormugao Headland Flag Staff position, up to a distance of 15 Nautical miles into sea and up to a height of 7,100 metres."For smooth conduct of firing and also to ensure public safety, shipping,…
