PANAJI: Goa has won the ‘Best Romantic Destination’ title at the Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards 2025, reinforcing its status as one of the country’s most popular travel choices. The award was presented at a ceremony held at Nandiya Gardens, ITC Maurya, New Delhi, on December 16.
The award was received on behalf of the Goa tourism department by Swati Prabhu Shastri, currently posted at Goa Sadan. The recognition highlights Goa’s appeal for couples, driven by its scenic coastline, relaxed atmosphere, cultural richness and wide range of hospitality options.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik said the award acknowledges the efforts of tourism stakeholders and local communities in creating quality experiences. Now in its 14th year, the Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards recognise excellence across the travel and hospitality sectors.
