Goan writer's poem included in Karnataka's Marathi text book

Veteran Goan playwright, journalist Vitthal Nagesh Gaude-Parwadkar's poem 'Pranyanche Aajar' has been included in the Marathi textbook of class 7 in Karnataka. Very few Goan writers have received such honour in the neighbouring State school text books. The book that includes this poem will be taught in schools in Karnataka from the coming academic year. Writer Vitthal has 32 books to his credit, including 22 plays, 3 poetry compilations, collection of stories and interviews. His plays have been staged in Goa and Maharashtra for the past many years. Vitthal has been contributing to literature for the last 25 years and works as senior journalist in Panaji. He had presided over the Sattari Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in 2016 and has been honoured with the Pandit Mahadev Shastri Joshi's literature award too.
