The Department of Mathematics of Ganpat Parsekar College of Education organised a one-day workshop on the mathematical typesetting software 'LaTeX' for mathematics students of Third and Fourth Year BSc BEd.
Gajanan Parab, Asst Professor in Mathematics, St Xavier's College, Mapusa, was the chief guest and the resource person. Suraj Parmekar welcomed the dignitaries. Principal Udesh Natekar in his welcome note highlighted the importance of learning through hands-on experience. Chairman Laxmikant Parsekar spoke about the necessity of learning new things and staying updated with recent advancements.
The resource person, Parab highlighted various aspects of the software covering areas related to beamer presentation, question paper setting, and essentials in preparation of project reports. Ashwita Pereira and Tejal Naik of Fourth Year BSc BEd compered the programme. Teacher in-charge of the department and event coordinator, Namrata Khorje proposed the vote of thanks.
