MARGAO: Guardian Angel SC defeated Benifica YC Vasco 3-1 to advance to the quarterfinals of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy 2025, organized by Batora United Curtorim in association with Margao Sports Club at DSYA Ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
Guardian Angel SC took an early lead in the 7th minute when Jaidan Dias scored with a glancing header. Benifica YC's Stalen Lucas came close to equalizing in the 15th minute but missed narrowly. In the 20th minute, Adrian Gomes doubled Guardian Angel's lead with a well-taken goal. Benifica YC pulled one back in the 50th minute through Stalen Lucas, but Guardian Angel SC restored their two-goal advantage when Jaidan Dias scored again to make it 3-1.
The match's guests, including Mario Mascarenhas, Agnelo Gomes, Marcus Piexito, Joel Martins, and Nickson Castanha, presented the Man of the Match award to Adrian Gomes of Guardian Angel SC for his outstanding performance.
