MARGAO: Guardian Angel SC secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Ambelim Sports Club to advance to the quarterfinals of the Marcus Mascarenhas (MARK) Memorial Trophy football tournament, organised by Sarzora Sports Club at the Chinchinim church ground on Friday.
Aliton Furtado opened the scoring for Guardian Angel just six minutes into the match, and Adrian Gomes extended their lead in the 20th minute. Adriano Gomes was awarded the Man of the Match for his performance, with the award presented by Newton Leitao, vice president of CRC Club Chinchinim.
