MARGAO: Guardian Angel SC defeated St Anthony SC Assolda 7-6 via the tie-breaker and enter the final of 6th Martins Cup, organised by Betalbatim SC, at panchayat ground, Betalbatim, on Saturday.
Milton netted the first goal of the match for Guardian Angel in the 15th minute. As the match progressed, in the second half, Gerito doubled the account for Guardian Angel in the 56th minutes. Assolda netted two quick goals through Frazier Gomes in the 47th and 50th minutes respectively.
In the tie-breaker, Guardian Angel SC proved to be better shooters.
The man of the match award was presented to Myron Mendes of Guardian Angel SC by Michael Pereira ex-sarpanch of VP Betalbatim.
