IAF association, Goa branch annual meet on Oct 16

The 20th Annual General Body meeting of the Indian Air Force, Goa branch will be held on October 16 at gymkhana hall in Defence colony in Porvorim at 10 am.

The Director of DAV Airmen and Airmen family pensions will address the gathering. All members and ex-Air Force personnel are invited for the function.

Hotel staffer ends life in Canacona

A 39-year-old employee of a starred hotel in Canacona ended his life on Thursday.According to Canacona Police, the deceased Abhishek Hirapuri, a resident of Hubli, committed suicide in a rented room at Tarir.Police conducted the panchanama and shifted the body to the District Hospital at Margao for post-mortem examination.Canacona PI Chandrakant Gawas said the family of the deceased has been contacted and further investigation is underway.
