District Magistrate, North has ordered the temporary closure of Inox lane (General Bernard Guedes Road) road leading from Panaji Market to DBB Marg along the Inox complex for all type of vehicles from January 16 to January 24, 2021, because of 51st IFFI.

Liquor worth Rs 72 lakh seized at Khandepar

PONDAA team from the legal metrology department on Thursday seized 4,500 boxes of liquor bottles worth about Rs 72 lakh after raiding a distillery at Gavthan-Khandepar.According to sources, the team raided the distillery for allegedly filling liquor in the bottles below the specified amount.Authorities declined to divulge further information on grounds that investigations were still in progress.
