A team from the legal metrology department on Thursday seized 4,500 boxes of liquor bottles worth about Rs 72 lakh after raiding a distillery at Gavthan-Khandepar.
According to sources, the team raided the distillery for allegedly filling liquor in the bottles below the specified amount.
Authorities declined to divulge further information on grounds that investigations were still in progress.
