Interaction with Union Minister fruitful: GCCI

The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) interacted with the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari who promised to expedite the pending road works, Zuari bridge and highways. The GCCI president Ralph De Sousa stated that projects like a revolving observatory, walkway, art gallery and restaurant will be a big boon to the Goan economy. With the infusion of Rs 1,200 crore elevated connectivity highway, the decks are cleared for completion of the New Mopa Airport scheduled to start operations in August 2022. GCCI also welcomed Gadkari’s assurance of looking into the pending repairs of the NH4 through Anmod Ghat to Karnataka. “This will solve the connectivity to Karnataka and will reduce freight cost and time,” said Ralph, adding, “Gadkari has been the architect of modern Indian infrastructure. He conceived and executed the Mumbai Pune Expressway which was first of its kind in the country which changed the complexion of road transport.”
