Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh to conclude with bike rally

PANAJI:  The Directorate of Tribal Welfare and the Tribal Research Institute, Goa, have announced the concluding ceremony of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh. Various programmes were held across Goa from 1 to 15 November 2025, including the Janjatiya Sanskrutik Sammelan, Janjatiya Manthan, Janjatiya Mukhiya Sammelan, and the Janjatiya Khel Utsav. The concluding ceremony will take place on 15 November 2025, which marks the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, also observed as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.  

A bike rally of around 8,000 bikers from across the state will be held to honour the life and struggles of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The rally will reach the SGPDA ground in Margao at 4 pm, followed by a Janjatiya Sanskrutik Sammelan. The event will be attended by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Dr Ganesh Gaonkar, Tribal Welfare Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, and other dignitaries. A film on the life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda will also be premiered during the ceremony.
