MAPUSA: Professor of Pathology and former Head of the Department of Pathology at Goa Medical College, as well as former Dean of Goa University, Dr R G Wiseman Pinto has been elected President of the South Asian Academy of Cytopathology and Histopathology (SACH). The election took place during the 50th Anniversary International Conference of the College of Pathologists of Sri Lanka held on October 24, at the University of Colombo Faculty of Medicine Tower. Dr Pinto, who earlier held the same post in 2016“17, is the first Indian pathologist to be re-elected to this prestigious position. The SACH Academy brings together pathologists from across South Asian nations, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Afghanistan and Myanmar.
Inclusive children’s park opens in Porvorim
Porvorim: Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Thursday inaugurated the Divyaranjan Park, Goa’s first children’s park designed for children with disabilities.
