Pooja Naik has finally named three people in the jobs scam case. She told the media that some ministers in the ruling government were involved in this racket and that many people like her were used to run an indirect cash-for-jobs business. She said the people of Goa have been cheated in the name of government jobs, while ministers and the police act as if they have no evidence. Her mobile phones are with the police, and she claims to have given them all the details. She alleges some officers work closely with powerful politicians and follow the wishes of the ruling government.
Many Goans have fallen into this trap and have lost large sums of money, often without any proof of payment. Everything works on trust, so victims cannot even claim their money back. She believes the police, controlled by the government, will not act against ministers involved, but will instead target people like her. She also says that keeping entrance exams is only to fool Goans because the “settings” are already fixed. Young people run around for certificates and courses without knowing they still need experience. With low salaries and no secure jobs, many Goans feel pushed to look for work in the Gulf or Europe.
