In a step toward modern, tech-enabled passenger facilities, the Konkan Railway Corporation has inaugurated a state-of-the-art digital display video wall at Margao Railway Station. Spanning 200 sqft in the circulating area, the high-resolution display will provide passengers with real-time train schedules, platform information, passenger advisories, safety messages, and details about local attractions. The project has been executed by Graphon Innovative Digital Solutions, Palakkad, under a 5-year contract valued at Rs 18,20,563/- (annual license fee: Rs 3,08,570/-), effective from January 15, 2025 to January 14, 2030. The facility was inaugurated by Santosh Kumar Jha, KRC CMD along with Manisha Jha, Chairperson KRWC & SSA. Dy. General Manager, PR, KRC Baban Ghagte informed that the facility is designed to enhance the travel experience by ensuring timely information, improving passenger convenience, and facilitating smoother movement within the station.
