The Lokmanya Suvarna Yojana has been launched to serve members of the Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society (LMCS) with effect from April 3, in the new financial year 2021-22.
Every year, LMCS introduces customer-oriented schemes and Lokmanya Suvarna Ankur is the latest scheme which is designed for the benefit of customers. This is a term deposit scheme for 27 months and will give an attractive 9.4% return to investors.
Depositors can invest a minimum of Rs 10,000 and in multiples of Rs 1,000. There is no ceiling on maximum amount of Deposit. Lokmanya Suvarna Ankur Yojana will earn quarterly interest. Senior citizens and investors investing above Rs 10 lakh will get 0.50% higher interest.Premature withdrawal of deposit is permitted with the deduction of penalty @2% pa on applicable rate on normal term deposits for expired period of deposit.
Under this scheme, 90% loan is also given to investors on term deposit. The scheme will be operational from April 3 to June 30. Lokmanya Multipurpose Society has 213 branches in Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi and is involved in various multipurpose multi-state activities.
