Loyola High School win South Goa District U-14 boys football title

PANAJI: Loyola High School defeated Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, Cortalim, 4-0 to emerge as champions of South Goa District U-14 boys football, at Dramapur football ground.

Joseph Da Costa, Andrew Furtado, Reuben Barbosa and Shelloyel Siqueira were the goalscorers for the winners. The team is seen along with Leroy Menezes, Ramesh Honnavalli, Rashikant Gauns, Cajeton and parents.

Cuncolim Union banned for a year

MARGAO: The State football governing body Goa Football Association have banned Cuncolim Union for participating and organising tournaments for a period of one year and have also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 for sports related activities.Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda lodged a complaint against Cuncolim Union for fielding an ineligible player Sachin Velip in the President Cup tournament which is being organised by Assolna Welfare Sports Club Passagem.
