A Eucharistic Celebration was held for the former (late) Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI with the main celebrant Rev. Fr Pedro Rodrigues, the Principal of the HSS. The solemn occasion was attended by the students and the staff of the Institution. The Loyola community gathered in the chapel, all uniting, with one heart and one soul, in thanking God for the gift of the former (late) Pope Emeritus Benedict. The homily given by Rev. Fr Pedro focused on the life of the Pope who was raised from a humble beginning to become one of the greatest Pope of our times. He highlighted the Pope’s extreme pastoral sensitivity and his close bond with the people. Dr Walton Noronha, Vice-principal along with Corinne Dias, a teaching faculty were involved with the meticulous planning of the special service.
